The Airstream That Ran Away with the Spoon.
In the fall of 2017, Mary sold her house and moved into a 16-foot-long travel trailer—yes, an Airstream. The purpose of the move was to find a way to live a better life with debilitating fatigue and seasonal affective disorder, but Mary, adventurous spirit that she is, found she had much more to learn.
In her first year on the road, she learned about the unique network of people who live in RVs full time. As she traveled, she came to see America a bit differently and her place in it, in a totally new light. Mary shares how her full-time RV journey is shaped by her illness, but she does not let that preclude her from gaining wonderful experiences and seeing this great country, coast to coast. Written with honesty, wit, and an occasional sardonic turn of phrase, this book not only gives a glimpse at what one encounters with life in an RV, it also entertains with laugh-out-loud humor.
[Persons suffering from a debilitating chronic disease sometimes refer to themselves as spoonies. Mary tells readers more about this in her book.]
A book is a dream you hold in your hand.
